Helpful Passenger Tips
Know where you are going and be sure you get off the vehicle at the proper destination. Have directions if necessary.
Drivers can assist you from your door to the vehicle and from the vehicle to the door of your destination. Drivers are not permitted in homes or buildings. If you need further assistance have an attendant accompany you.
Be ready and waiting for the vehicle. Drivers will only wait 5 minutes. You will receive an automated courtesy call when the vehicle is in route to your residence.
Notify KARTS as soon as possible if you know you are not going to make your appointment.
Have tickets, FareKards or exact cash amount ready when boarding the vehicle. No personal checks or debit/credit cards are accepted.
Provide any child safety seats as needed. The seat must be proper for the age and weight of any children. Any children who do not have proper child safety seats will have services denied.
If KARTS comes to pick you up and you do not ride, you will be charged a “no show” fee. A no-show is when you did not call in advance to cancel the ride. This fee is equal to the amount of the scheduled one-way transportation fare. All no-show fees must be paid in the office.
Inclement weather closings are posted on Channel 11 (ABC), our automated phone service and on our website.
