How much does it cost if I pay?
Rates are determined by the mileage from the point of origin to your destination. See table below:

Out-of-County trips
Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh and Wake Forest rates are a flat fee. See table below:

Welcome to Easy Pass!
What is Easy Pass?
Easy Pass is a new and convenient way to pay for your transportation without having to carry cash, tickets or cards. The best part, any KARTS customers can do it.
It’s as easy as contacting the KARTS Office and setting up an account. Once you have an account you can add funds with a credit or debit card several different ways.
NOTICE: If using a credit / debit card a minimum of $20.00 must be added to your account.
- Go to the KARTSNC.com website and click on kartsnc.govtportal.com , you’ll be directed to a payment portal where you can enter your card information and once completed KARTS will be notified and the funds will be entered on your account.
- Call KARTS and your card information can be entered into our Payment Portal and the funds will be entered into your account.
- Stop by the KARTS office with cash or money order and we will add funds to your account.
How does it work?
Once funds are loaded and available on your account, reserve a trip and when you board the bus your fare will automatically be deducted from your account.
It’s that simple!
